King Solomon writes in Proverbs of the many benefits that come to those that seek wise counsel. With that wise counsel Christians have the ability to grow and access many aspects of what for some remain out of reach. The wise counsel that pours into the leadership of Coram Deo Academy (CDA) consists of Coram Deo Academy’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors meets many times during the year to come along side one another and put the goals of CDA first. That being said, the recent Board of Directors meeting produced an approved and balanced budget for the 2009-2010 school year. With the continued growth and development of CDA many thanks is due to each person that strives to move CDA forward. While the world may see problems on each corner CDA looks to the Lord not merely to survive but thrive.

Jeremy reached the semi-finals round of Student Congress in the Senate chamber, placing him in the top 64 students in the nation in this event. Jeremy received the Karl E. Mundt medal for his efforts. Mr. Mundt was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and a U.S. Congressman in the years between 1939-1972. He also was president of the National Forensic League during those years. The medal honors his work in Congress and his recognition of outstanding high school students in the NFL Student Congress. Congratulations to Jeremy for advancing higher than any student ever has at Coram Deo Academy and for representing our school at this prestigious tournament.

To date the Cultivate Today Transform Tomorrow Capital Campaign has raised $825K including many leadership gifts of $15,000 - $70,000. Additionally, we have reached 75% participation by parents with 100% by faculty/staff and we greatly appreciate this support. However, an interested private foundation has recommended that we increase the internal commitment to at least $1M. Raising an additional $175K by September will likely result in approval of grant applications.
